| Anna Paquin is a New Zealand-Canadian film theatre and television actor who has been featured in films like The PianoFly Away Homeand X-Men.She began her career in the film business as a child performer for The Pianofor which she won the Academy Awardfor Best Actress in a supporting role at the age of eleven. Though she never had any intention to become an actor, fate made it happen. To remain focused in her studies she declined numerous jobs following the success of her first film. In 2000, she played the role of Rogue in X-Men, which was the first film of the series of X-Men films. Her role in the film brought her worldwide fame. Her role was reprised in the role of Roguein sequels such as X2and X-Men The Final Stand.She was also seen in tiny screen appearances, including Elaine Goodalein Bury My Heart at Wounded Kneefor which she received her first Emmynomination.
