Srushti began preparing herself for her UPSC examination during her 3rd year as a student in engineering. During her graduation she was unsure if she would be content with her engineering job. The answer became more clear as she focused more on the civil service. Parents advised her to study for civil services and pursue a career serving the public. She was motivated to become an IAS officer and was focused towards that aim. To be able to pass UPSC requires more effort. The student also studied for UPSC tests while she was studying engineering. The exam preparation took up all day long. The time she spent was just one month working on the exams and stayed off the internet and social daily life. She believes that being focused on the task at hand is essential to pass this exam. She wanted to pass through the exam in one go, and she did a lot of hours.
