Anna Silk

Anna Silk is a Canadian actress who was born on January 31, 1974. She is best known for her role as Bo from the Showcase Television series Lost Girl. Silk was born Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk, and Peter Silk are the parents of Silk. Ilkay is a playwright as well as director, and she teaches drama in St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna's early memories are of attending play rehearsals and watching her mom work. Silk appeared as a little girl in commercials. The year 1997 was the time she graduated with a bachelor's degree at St. Thomas University. The early stage work she did included at least two productions with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk relocated from Toronto in the month of November 1999 to Los Angeles California to pursue her acting career. Seth Cooperman was her future husband when she met him in 2007 during an acting workshop in Los Angeles. In 2009, they were wed in civil ceremonies in the month of December. Following her conversion to Judaism and they renew their vows in a Jewish ceremony on the 10th of April 2011 in Fredericton. Silk had the son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron, her second baby was born on May 13, 2016. Silk was also nominated in 2009 for the Gemini Awards in her role as Cassidy Holland. In 2009 Silk was a part of the Bo Dennis in the series Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk was pregnant during filming the finale of the third series. Silk announced her pregnancy to the fans in her Showcase Season Three pre-show special that aired on 6 January 2013. On June 4 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced the start of production on the fourth season. Then on the 20th of June 2013 Silk posted on Twitter that she was ready to return to the series. CNN Cable News Network named Bo together with Lauren Zoie Palmer, as the couple with the same name on Lost Girl to be one of its favorite TV Couples ever. E! Magazine declared that they were the top Television Couples of 2013 Entertainment Television. Silk has a huge following on Facebook and Twitter as a direct result of its popularity.

Maria Menounos

As she was caring for her mother who suffers from Stage 4 brain cancer Maria found out she was in the midst of an illness of her own. In February 2014 Menounos started experiencing troubling symptoms. She tells PEOPLE that she had been suffering from headaches and lightheadedness from February 2014. "My speech was slurred. It was also difficult for me to comprehending the prompter on the teleprompter." Menounos was diagnosed with a meningioma-sized brain tumor. A MRI confirmed this. Menounos booked an appointment to see her mother's neurosurgeon, Dr. Keith L. Black. The surgeon scheduled the surgery on June 8 for Menounos' 39th birthday. He told her, "I am 98 percent positive that the tumor is not malignant, but we'll never know until we actually get there," The complex procedure, lasting about 7 hours the surgeon Dr. Black was able to remove 99.9 per cent of the cancer.
