Kelly Reilly (born 18 July 1977) is an English actress. Reilly made her debut as a London theatre star with her role in After Miss Julie in the Donmar warehouse. In 2003, she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Theatre Award as the best actress. Aged 26 she's the youngest person to ever be nominated for the award. The Russian Dolls' (Les Poupees Russes) actress was awarded the Best Newcomer Award 2005 at Cannes Film Festival. Walter Smith, her father was an analyst in the computer industry and Lora Smith, her mother was a psychotherapist. Courtney Smith lived in the same home as both of her parents at various times. Jennifer, her elder sister is employed in the field of advertising. She was a student at Menlo-Atherton high school situated in Atherton California. Also, she attended Tamalpais High School situated in Mill Valley California. Also, she was a member for the Ensemble Theater Company Mill Valley in her senior years.

As she was caring for her mother who suffers from Stage 4 brain cancer Maria found out she was in the midst of an illness of her own. In February 2014 Menounos started experiencing troubling symptoms. She tells PEOPLE that she had been suffering from headaches and lightheadedness from February 2014. "My speech was slurred. It was also difficult for me to comprehending the prompter on the teleprompter." Menounos was diagnosed with a meningioma-sized brain tumor. A MRI confirmed this. Menounos booked an appointment to see her mother's neurosurgeon, Dr. Keith L. Black. The surgeon scheduled the surgery on June 8 for Menounos' 39th birthday. He told her, "I am 98 percent positive that the tumor is not malignant, but we'll never know until we actually get there," The complex procedure, lasting about 7 hours the surgeon Dr. Black was able to remove 99.9 per cent of the cancer.
